Tropical Storm Debby has really been soaking the State of Florida this week and it has somewhat impacted our plans leading up to the July 4th holiday. We had a great tasting at Come See Come Sav last Saturday and met a lot of great new friends. Sauces are fully stocked at Come See Come Sav this week. Our supply of sauces from our first run is nearly gone. Thankfully, our next bottling run takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) in St. Augustine. Early morning travel will be windy and rainy but it looks like the weather won’t be too bad for cross-state travel, even though Debby is still hanging around. I will be returning Thursday with fresh supplies for all of our retailers here in Florida. Our second trip through Georgia and the Carolinas, originally scheduled for the end of this week, will start on Monday, July 9. Vacations and lack of availability to schedule meetings around the 4th of July, contributed to moving this trip. We do have several potential new retailers we will be visiting as well as replenishing supplies for our distributors and retailers outside Florida.
Since our last blog, we have added D&K Ace Hardware in Ellenton and Apollo Meats in Apollo Beach, Florida as our newest E’s Best retailers. Special thanks to Jamie and Steve respectively for signing on with us! We hope to have some more new retailer news by early next week. Also, don’t miss our tasting at The Chop Shop in Bradenton, Tuesday, July 3 from 11 am to 3 pm. Please stop by and take advantage of great deals for the 4th at the Chop Shop. On Anna Maria Island, the Olive Oil Outpost is fully stocked this week, as is Palmetto Meat Shop in Palmetto. If you are in the Asheville, NC area, stop in at Coates Produce at the WNC Farmers Market and pick up some sauce. In Waynesville we are on Main Street, exclusively at Home Tech The Kitchen Shop. Come in and say hello to Bob and Kathy Lang. E’s Best Sauces also showed up in a silent auction gift basket last week in Lima, Ohio for the junior nationals cattle competition. Last I heard, the basket had commanded $40 in bids for a bottle of sauce! Thanks to the Elmores, our Spartanburg/Greenville distributors for spreading the word all the way into the midwest! Finally, our Charlotte and Wilmington distributors report that sales are moving well, which is why we are traveling once again on July 9. In the meantime, that’s all for now. Remember to get your sauce on this weekend!
E’s Best!
